Once you have docked you will enjoy a lovely walk through a small fishermen village to visit the necropolis. In the afternoon, the boat will arrive at Edfu, where you will visit Edfu Temple which is dedicated to the god Horus. A Horse and carriage will carry you to the Temple through the busy city streets. In the afternoon you will stop at an island and have the opportunity for a stroll or a swim in the Nile. As dusk begins to fall there may be a chance for you to walk into the desert along a valley lined with boulders covered in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and stone-age inscriptions. These images mark the beginning of the shortest trail through the desert to Libya. At night, the boat will tie up at the foot of the floodlit Temple of Gebel Silsileh. Overnight on board your Nile boat. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Day 4 - Thursday: Gebel Silsileh Aswan Here the Nile is flowing between two mountains ranges and is at it’s narrowest.
