Ancient Egyptian Architecture is famous for its monumental structures that are mainly designed for funeral or religious purposes. These structures were there to withstand the ravages of time, and due to their grandiosity. They were often a symbol of the pharaohs’ might and power. The Pyramids of Giza

The most famous of these temples is the Temple of Amun. The temple was  in stages, starting from the Middle Kingdom and reaching completion during the Ptolemaic Kingdom.

In fact, the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut is in Luxor and was there by the queen Hatshepsut during the Eighteenth Dynasty. The temple was there in honor of Amun Ra. Who was the only female pharaoh of Ancient Egypt.

The Valley of the Kings

In fact, the Valley of the Kings is on the west bank of the Nile in Luxor and is famous for the tombs of the pharaohs that were buried there. The valley contains over 60 tombs. The most famous of these is the Tomb of Tutankhamun.
